Wiesbaden Hotel Alexander

Of all the places we visited, Wiesbaden's Hotel Alexander (or "HA!" - think about it then "lol") was definitely my personal favorite! Aside from some initial wifi issues this hotel offered the BEST room accommodations. My roommate and I had plenty of space in the room itself for ourselves and guests with a spacious bathroom, seriously had the loveliest showers. And I regret not getting any photos of this but I MUST SAY their breakfast buffet was SSSSO yummy *-* As a breakfast enthusiast, I'd go all day with cravings and go to bed so excited to wake up to their tasty selection. They offer a lovely fresh variety of fruits, yogurts, eggs with meats, warm breads, ~ and my absolute favorite ~ warm chocolate croissants!!! Although we spent plenty of time on the duration of our trip in Wiesbaden, I was still very saddened to leave this behind. Would certainly recommend it!!! <3

First German Meal, Plus Sugar

Our first group dinner took place at a quaint traditional German style restaurant underground! The menu consisted of all the typical German cuisine such as schnitzel, pork knuckle, sausage, and more snazzy piggy parts. I on the other hand wanted to go another route and tried something a bit unconventional to the usual pork dish. Recently I'd gotten into fish so decided to try the lemon zest zander fish with seasoned potatoes. Needless to say, it was quite tasty in my attempt to make a healthier choice - and ohhhh was it.... Until of course I spotted a lavish ice cream sundae on the dessert menu with pistachio, walnut, and french vanilla ice cream flavors. Just as expected, the presentation did not disappoint and my taste buds were super satisfied.

Wiesbaden Wanderlust

Our first day arriving to Wiesbaden from Frankfurt, the morning was spent visiting the Marketplatz among several destinations to get well acquainted with the city. The train method of transportation in Europe is quite different I'd say compared to the states. Although some stations were much nicer than others so I'm sure that depends on where you are and where you're headed. Although that long haul flight followed by train excursions, bus rides, and intensive walking to the hotel with our luggage in hand was a tad over exerting. Nearly made it. Perhaps next time I won't pack nearly as much, although I considered my packing organized and minimal compared to my usual travel habits. Once we arrived to our hotel, it was quite relieving to drop off the luggage and sight see. Needless to say, it was a beautiful excursion. :)

Weisbaden Marketplatz

Upon our busy day ahead, for a quick lunch we stumbled upon a french Cafe with plenty of tasty treats. Couldn't resist feeding my tea and macaroon addiction... Ordered a pot of chai milk tea with rose, pistachio, and cherry pistachio macaroons - my favorites. Can't deny the fact that the colors drew me in as I have a tendency to attribute color with taste. This became our go to place for the remainder of our stay in Wiesbaden for sweet cravings and leisure.

Wiesbaden Day One

Here's a glimpse of a few first impressions entering Wiesbaden, Germany. Lots of miscellaneous imagery, forgive the quality. Fingers were a just bit trigger happy and struggling to keep up with the eyes!
